Why bathroom signs? Because we love our sweet custodians and we want the kids to love them as much as we do. Plus, if you’ve ever cringed having to walk into a public restroom, you understand the need for everyone being committed to the collective cause.
I mean, is it really that hard to remember to flush?
And why are there always paper towels on the floor NEAR the trash can, but not actually IN it?
BATHROOM SIGNS FOR SCHOOL RESTROOMS
We deserve better. And I’m thinking it starts with the littles. Let’s help them create hygiene habits now that will hopefully (fingers crossed) go with them into their adult lives. Or at least to the next grade level. And, with any luck, that teacher will keep the momentum going.
Each year, I meet a few kids who seem to have no idea about the way bathrooms work. And because I’m a bit of a germaphobe, this task makes it to the top of my list of things to teach during the first week of school.
If it’s on yours too, add a set of cute BATHROOM POSTERS to your teacher bag of tricks.
Bathroom signs like these remind children to:
- Close the door.
- Wipe clean.
- Get dressed.
- Flush the toilet.
- Wash with soap.
- Dry off.
- Throw trash away.
You can even use a set of mini bathroom signs to help kids remember and practice the sequence of what happens while they’re in the restroom.

Whether you print these resources with colored ink or on colored paper, they’re adorable.
And because reading and restrooms sometimes go together, we’ve included a little environmental print. Why not label the bathroom, too?๐

If you want to get ahead of the sticky floor situation and the wadded paper towel graveyard, check out the bathroom signs HERE.
Here’s to clean bathrooms everywhere!
